Can I lower a KX60 by installing a lower link of some sort (hopefully home made)? My kid's a little short for it now. I want to lower it temporarily until he grows into it. The shock is on its lowest setting which doesn't help much. It's not like bigger bikes where you can just unscrew the preload.
I will consider shaving the seat, but I'd rather leave that stock.
Thanks,
Toby

You purchase and install a dog bone in the linkage to lower the seat height. I believe it will lower it by about 1". You may want to drop the front end as well.

to lower the bike you lenghten the dogbone linkage just below the shock. you could fabricate something using heim joints and a threaded sleeve, that is what the berg unit consists of. Also it would be possible to make something easily from some aluminum or steel stock if your good at that type of thing.
