Hi there i hope you can help. I have a 1992 kdx 200, ive just removed all the exhaust valves for a clean up and inspection. The problem is setting the main exhaust valve up, which possition should it go in. The two side valves have a punch mark to set them to which is explained in the book, but there is nothing to say the position of the main valve.

At the moment i have slid the rod in from the right hand side then engage the gog and gear on the main valve as soon as meet, is that correct. Do you insert the rod from right or left side ?.

The way it is set at the moment the two side valves and the main exhaust valve open at the same time when you pull the shaft out to the right.
Is this correct if not could someone please explain. cheers Rich.

Sounds like you have set it up OK.The main thing is when the rod is pulled out "all" the valves should be open. When the rod is pushed in "all"
the valves should be closed. This is what you have then it's OK.
