Hey everybody i'am new to dirt bikes, i'am very handey with my own repairs but just wondering how often should i change engine oil, trans oil, also what is the best way to clean the air filter and what chemicals and lube to use. Thanks for the help.

First thing you should do is get a service manual for it..

That will detail all of the regular maintenance you need to do, and how often.

As for the air filter, I prefer No Toil. It's easy to deal with, and easy on the planet.

Yes get a manual.

Basically change the engine oil after every ride or every other ride. Clean the air filter after every ride. Inspect the valves on a regular schedule and then the chasis maintenance is like any other bike out there.

The more often you change the oil and keep it clean, the same for the air filter, the longer the bike will last you. Cheap insurance!

You need a service manual. There are other things that need oil as well: the chain, front forks, rear shock, etc. Just fluids? how about the other things that need adjusting?

Did you know that you can ruin your chain in a matter of hours if it's adjusted incorrectly? Definitely get a service manual.
