Goodmorning/afternoon,
i have these marzochies but they didn't give me a manual with it when i bought the bike (huskie wr250 '98).
Can someone pls advice me what the max oil height will be for these forks and wld like to know what the clicker does which is located at the downside of the compression leg(so it is not the clicker at the top) Are there recommendations for a certain oil weight/viscosity?

Oil: Marzocchi SAE 7.5 Ref. 550013. Special formula with no foam
building. It keeps the viscosity features unchanged in every working
conditions: free from static friction. For particularly cold climates
use oil "Marzocchi - SAE 5" Ref 550003.
It states to "check that an air volume of 135mm is left between the
top of the stanchion tube and the oil level, with the stanchion tube
at its end of stroke".
Not sure what you mean with the adjuster of the compression leg, as
there's only the adjustment knobs at the top???
BTW this is from the manual for the "magnums" - 97 ktm 360sx.

hoi Michelle, thnks for the reply.
There are actually two knobs on the compression leg. One at the top, the ussual place to say, and one small screw clicker at the bottom. (It is not the big 10mm bolt that keeps the piston shaft tight down). And this tiny screw clicker is only in the comp leg, and not in the rebound leg. Strange isn't?
So oil height max can be set at 13.5mm, thnks bibi

Hopefully someone else will be able to help with that (the clicker)
- I've checked the manual & didn't see anything about it. Unless
yours are a slightly different model to these?
If you want a copy of the manual, email me your snail mail addy &
I'll post it over. Marzocchi's phone number was/is: 051 6168711 Fax
051-758857

Lol, sorry I am laughing. Zoute drop you can eat (though a lot would
disagree on that), however snail-mail addy is slang for postal
address (I'm really bad, that should have been address and then you'd
possibly have understood) and I'm pretty sure you can't eat it :)
(unless it's printed on edible paper) ;) Adacadabra is English,
actually I have no idea where it originated from, but yes, that is
what the magicians use. Apologies for my use of slang (actually it
was lazy slang, so even worse - I should have known better).

Did you receive my email asking if yours were the black forks?
Because if so, they're a different model to Henk's - neither of us
are sure that they are the exact same forks. However, I'm more than
happy to send you a copy of the manual either way, if you so desire
:)

Hai Michelle, are you dutch? Zoute drop you def can eat and is very popular in holland. Mine forks are not black, they are plain aluminium. No stickers.
Probably they are one year newer than Henk's. That explains the small clicker in the lower comp leg. I figured out that probably something to do with last bit of the stroke, to dial in the bottoming resistence. I send you my address, and i thank you kindly for yr assistance/help. Talk to later bibi
