I have been using Maxxis MaxxCross IT rear tires for about 18 months now. First, on my KTM 400SX, and now on my CRF450R. I have noticed more wear on the Honda than I was experiencing on the KTM, surely because of the power differential. My question is: Does it make sense to move to the 120/90/19 from the recommended 110/90/19? It seems that the tire is a little bit narrower than a comparable Dunlop or Bridgestone. Has anyone done this, and what was your take? Thanks

I haven't tried it yet because I didn't like the tire but for a 450 you should really get the 120. I got the 110 for my 250 and it was really small. Some tire companies measure their tires differently. Michelin tires I have to run 130's for the same thickness as a dunlop. No ill effects just more traction and less wear.
