MI trail riding (any good recommendations)

I've been to the Baldwin/Luther area and I know there are miles and miles of riding up there but the problem is that it is all sand and my 12 year old has a lot of trouble with it.

Do you guys know of any good places to trail ride that is more dirt trails? (no/little sand)

If it's not super dry, White Cloud isn't bad, plus there's a few miles of new trail on the northern "loop" piece that's not down to fluffy sand yet (mention this since it might be closer to you).

White cloud is about the best for kids if your looking to avoid sand. I suggest going during the week though - on the weekends there are LOTS of quads on that trail.

I tell everyone to take them to Horeshoe. THere is 2 loops that you can ride with the kids. Yes it is tighter than most trail. but 1 it is dirt not sand. And 2 most kids dont have trouble with tight trails, at least not as much trouble as adults that might not be used to the tigher trails. I had my kid out run me on a ttr 90 once out there in one of the tighter sections. Stuff that is tight for me he just flies thru.
