Stick a fork in my racing season, I'm done guys.
Funny story about this race, I really wanted and needed to go to get qualified for the Moose contigency program. You need to at least 50% of the races to get any cool Moose stuff at year end. I was also wanting to move up in series points from 3rd to 2nd in D22 Big B.
The wrinkle was that my wonderful wife is 8 1/2 months pregnant, and could go into labor any day. She let me go, the race was about 100 miles from my house, but I carried my cellphone on my hip all morning (even after changing into my gear), then when the race started, I handed the phone to a buddy of mine and said if this rings and it is my wife, flag me down on the next lap thru so I can load up and go. Fortunately nothing happened, and now I'm content to sit and wait at home. Maybe we'll have a little turkey this weekend!
How many guys have had a DNF due to labor pains?:)
Good ride agitt73, Mark Davis is hard to beat in that C class, but he's moving up to race with us B guys next year. Hope you can do the whole series next year. Does Mike Lair have a CR, I saw some poor guy stuck in the creek section they later routed to the fireline road, and that bike was just getting plastered with mud every lap. He was right in the line of roost.
Layton, how many laps did it take to get the hang of that 125? Maybe you could have picked a course with a couple more hills, that was definitely 200 country;) Congrats to Converse, that makes two in a row for him. Next year could be interesting with McKillip and Foster and who knows who else.
