Seems like the new generation kiddie bikes make substantial amounts of power. Not unexpectedly, we are seeing valve stems pull out when running low pressure for sloppy conditions. I'm considering grinding down a standard rim lock, or screwing or pinning the tire bead to the shoulder of the rim. The rim lock answer seems clunky, and I have some reluctance about drilling the flanges of those pretty little alloy rims. Anyone have any good tips in this area?

What kind of bike is it? That sounds like some serious sludge your playing in!!

p.s. Maybe just a tad more air pressure to keep the tube seated properly?
