just wanting some info on this product, ive heard a couple people mention it, but very few actually gave any info on it. i know you can get it at the autozoo for $6.99. ill be running it in my 2000 cr250 when i get the top end in next week. :aj: 32:1 of course. been using castor 927.

also i havent gotten a service manual yet(the one i ordered from our local honda shop :pissed: came in for a 88-91 cr250 and 88-01 cr500. gotta take it back :pissed: ). my questions are:

what fluid to run in trans? 10w-40?
what does the head and jug torque to?
any timing procedures on the power valve?

thanks in advance.

i've been running the mobile 2t oil for a while now and i love it, very good stuff in my opinion. As for gear oil, just throw in some ATF type F, you can get it at any auto store, nice and cheap and works great. Just make sure you get the Type F if you purchase it. As for the other questions i can help ya, just wait till the manual gets there i guess

I want to try the mobil 1 racing 2t in my cr and i can't get it in Canada. Seems like the best bang for the $ for synthetic good oil.

Mobil 1 Racing 2T is good in my book. . . Eric Gorr says he uses/used it (when it was called MX2T) in either his book or one of of long articles. I seem to recall he referred to it as a "quality oil".

Mobil Racing 2T is an ester based synthetic with secret stuff in it that makes it even better.
I'm completely convinced there is nothing better....yet.

TypeF ATF will work just fine, but you may feel more comfortable using the grade your manual states. (it wont be atf) No matter what, choose something that is cheap enough for you to change out VERY often. Like after every ride or two.

I would wait on my service manual before I started wrenching too much.

It's the only thing I would use in a recreational two-stroke.

i have used it for a while, a while back...

i liked it, it burned clean, and i did not have any engine problems when i was using it.

i am thinking about going back to it, just because it is cheeper, and more avalible...

I have seen it a auto-zone, and walmart.... in walmart it was in with the chainsaw oils.. i think

I just started using it, mixes easy, works great. I had been looking for a synth oil for my 2 stroke, I found it at AutoZone. I mix 50:1 in 97 YZ and it worked great all last week. Its now my 2 stroke oil of choice.

I use MOBIL 1 2T, and i think its great, and its red. i like that its fully synthetic but ive been running at 40:1,but my pistons have broke twice, so i would suggest a lower ratio for bigger bikes. so im going to go to 32:1
