I've got it but I haven't loaded it up yet. What type of joystick is good to use with that game?

Every once in a while I'll fire her up. Been a month or so. I probably will pull a Carmichael the first time out minus the blood!!!

Have any of you had trouble getting into "the Zone"? My brother loves MM2 (and so does his kid) but he's been having fits trying to get into the Zone. Is there some upgrade he needs that he doesn't know about?

My 7 yr old son and I use to play the "zone" a lot before he discovered Mech Warriors, Rune and MDK… He’s been asking to get back into it. We did have a ball. I usually let him do the deed while I watched, he was better/had more practice than me. He loved the National outdoor stuff and tagball. Might be fun to get a bunch from the forum to play at a certain time each week. I always wondered what the other players would say if they found out it was a 6 yr old on the other end….

My 8 year old kicks my butt all the time! I really dont play it all that much - i really have a hard time with not "over steering". Any secret pointers so I can beat my kid? and what is this "zone"?

oversteering can be beat by using a joystick and turn the sensitivity down. If your having trouble with "Zone", try www.gamespy.com its pretty good and not overly crowded with that game

MCM2 never launches when I'm in the Zone. I'll join a game, and the person hosting starts the game, but nothing happens after that. I've tried hosting a game myself, to no avail. Anybody got any ideas?

How's about those that play post some of your best lap times? I downloaded a National track called "Jawbone Hare & Hound", so far my best has been a 4:57 on a 600 class four-stroke.

MCM2

Yes, I play on 'the zone', which since someone asked is actually the site www.zone.com. I just received the game for xmas, and it's become somewhat addictive late at night. My wife also gives me grief.

I really think that alot of how the game functions could really help beginning riders(ie. gyro/brake effect to control front end in air, lean forward when turning).

If you are having problems getting the game to launch, one thing to check is that you have first inserted the game CD into the drive, prior to accessing zone.com using your browser. When MCM2 starts, exit the game but leave the cd in the drive. Then, access the Zone and signin. You should then be able to join a game and the cd will be accessed and authenticated. Respond 'OK' to the prompt if it wants to change your video settings, and be patient. It may take some time. I have cable access at home, and sometimes it still takes 2-3 minutes to get there.

There are some things I don't like about how you control the bike, and especially the hacks(guys using cheating software patches to go faster or drive through objects when other's can't do so) I encounter while playing on the zone. But it can be alot of fun. I would be curious about how many people who play that game 'actually' race mx.

I usually play under 'dmichael46', for those interested, and mostly enjoy the sx the most.

Since Thanksgiving we have had a lot of the guys staying at our house while they are either testing or practicing. If their not in the spa, they are playing MCM2, keeps their minds in the right place.....I guess

I downloaded Penetrator last night. Cool track! Seems like I can never put in that perfect lap though. Best lap time so far is 1:37 on a 600 four-stroke.
