hi i am about to get a 250, and am wandering if there is a major difference between the two bikes, is the wieght difference of the two bikes a major setback? is it going to take me along time to get used to the 250? thanx.

With a 250, you better becarful how much throttle you grab for, thats all I have to say! You will end up on your butt before you know it:p The weight shouldnt be too much of a difference because it makes up with the power out-put

My son just quit mx leaving me with a 98 CR125 and a 01 CR250 in the garage. Although I ride an R1 and a 426 on the road, I thought I'd better take to the dirt on the 125. Couldn't ride it. Too much hit too quick. The 250 however is soooo easy. Like the previous post says, give it a little respect or it will bite you fast, but so long as you build it slowly, i believe it's a much easier bike to ride fast.
