MX style rear fender on XR600/XR650L?

Has anyone used a MX style rear fender on his or her XR600 or XR650L? I would like to put an MX style fender with modular taillight (tuck under) on my XR650L. Has anyone done this and if so what were the results? Did you run into any problems? Any particular set-up that you would recommend?
