MX-Tech Suspension Oil Change

I've been very happy with my MX-Tech suspension for my KX. Just wanted to ask some of you folks out there if you tried regular cartridge fork oil (ie. Maxima, etc) and shock oil instead of the special formulated stuff from Jeremy or one of his affiliates.

Anything noticeably different? I'm thinking on my next oil change I'm going to go this route.

Jeremy recommends Mobil 1 synthetic ATF for forks and shocks. He basically told me that he mixes up the MX-Tech fluid for people who refuse to believe that the ATF will work. I've used Mobil 1 for the last two years and have no complaints. Easy to find (Wal Mart on Sundays) so I end up changing my fluid more often.
