I just turned 15 (literally, today)

I got this bike for free over last summer,

there is a thread on the first or second page of the "vintage bikes" section, titled "1976 Kawasaki ke 175 enduro"

these are some pictures I took of it, not edited or anything. i think they turned out well.

there are not very many action shots taken of vintage bikes posted here, so I will try some this spring and summer, once they cultivate the field next to my house, and I make a track between that and when they plant (like 1-2 weeks) and maby on some trails. :)

I'm open to criticism, too, so here's the pics!

not bad at all :) pretty even exposure, I think.

that bike, but 4 years older, was my second bike. my first was a step through frame Honda trail 90.

Is that a Bassani or Hooker pipe ?

it is (from what I've been told) a bill wriges (sorry if I slaughtered the name) preformance pipe.

well, before this one was put away in his garage, the guy rebuilt the entire engine, then put a handful of hours on it and put it away.
I can tell it has great compression, starts great, pulls hard off the bottom end.
It is like an electric motor, there are no spikes in the powerband.
the rotary valve design does wonders. :)

so it is fresh as can be, and will pop a wheelie on command.

i love it.

got a new set of tires today, gonna pick up the bike on Monday.

I was sick of dual sport slicks. (well, they were on anything but roads), so I got a decent set of dirt tires.

it was:

$69.75 front, $69.75 rear.

gonna pick up the bike on YES!!!!

birthday money well spent.

It's gonna end up costing somewhere in the neighborhood of $220-230.

edit:

this is the model I got for the rear.

and this is what I got in front.

Reminds me of my first dirtbike, a 1976 Yamaha DT100. The dealer tried to talk me into a DT125 but the performance was about the same since the 125 had e-start and a battery. Fun, torquey little bike with the old oil injection system.

cool.

I just ordered a ste of rings and top end gasket kit for it off bikebandit. it takes 12 kicks more to start now, but once it's warmed up, it runs like a champ!

spring break is gonna be fun!

my first bike was a 1974 kawasaki 90 something. it looked pretty much like that but with a green tank.
