Hey Fellas,

I received my new replacement cylinder from Kawasaki yesterday and realized this AM that it is different from the one on the bike?
It might be a small difference or a big one ......that depends?

The difference is that there is a tube on the new cylinder that comes off the top of where the powervalve is. The original cylinder had no such tube? I ordered for a 2003 which is what the bike is and it looks like this tube was added in 06 or 07.....

Is this tube supposed to attach somewhere else on the motor or is it some sort of vent for the powervalve area?

A little confused....

Cheers

Yeah, it's just a vent for the power valve.. you can either order the prebent tube from Kawi, or just attach a 3/16id rubber tube from the autoparts store.

On my nephews 2007 KX85, it gets routed under engine on top of the frame.

Cool Indy...............thanx.

It came with the hose attached so I guess I just route that to the rear of the motor and we're all good.

Glad I don't have to panic order another cylinder. Time is running really short.
