Ok, so it was kinda for the wife's bday but I get to play with it too. :) The Canon 50mm fixed lens rocks! First off, I forgot how light her camera really was after lugging around a 300mm zoom lens on it. I love that you DO NOT need a flash for any type of indoor shots with the fiddy. It just grabs whatever light is there and makes it work.

Oh yeah, I also got her a new camera bag. It's the backpack style, and has TONS of room. It can easily fit her camera, 2 extra lenses, external flash, caps...etc. Probably have room for atleast another long lens or a couple regulars sized ones.
