I bought this 03 kx250 about 6wks ago, well actually I traded for it, but anyway.... It run's freakin great....fast as hell ! The only problem it had is that I believe the clutch basket may have some scarring on it. When I start off in first it "jerks" a bit but after 2 or 3 little jerks it's gone!!! It goes through all the gears smoothly and completely, but once I slow to a stop and put it in neutral it won't idle at all without working the throttle. Is this normal for a scarred basket ?? Can I just replace the basket ??? Should I check for another cause??? I really love this bike and want to get it in top racing condition so any ideas or suggestions would be greatly apreciated.

with a gear in - the motor has to move the clutch resistance, but with neutral it doesn't care about the clutch, so hard to imagine it's the clutch when the motor won't idle :coocoo:
