TC21, with a 1300 price tag a older Yamaha IT175, IT200, or 250 would do good. Get a 1981 or newer because the suspension is much more aggresive on the 81s and up.

You could also do a fork conversion to make a CR125 front inverted fork fit on your bike ang then get the rear shock revalved for your weight and ridding style. Also, Powroll.com dose a really good big bore and stroker kit that would really wake up you bike. and the top it off with a pipe.

Could the suspension handle 4 to 15' jumps. I know my xr200's couldn't. It would bottom out at 10 feet of air.

TC21, at you weight i would say it could handle it. But you might not be able to. I find that most dirt bikers that have not come from a balabce and sport of grace like mountain biking or BMXing they dont know how to absorbe the impact of hard landings as well as a say a mountain biker.

So, if you teach yourself to absorb hard landings almost any suspension on a bike should do you. On my 175 with 7 inches of travel both ways i did a 30 ft table top and a 40-50 ft step up.

The KDX would make a good bike for you and you can upgrade it as you go along.

I jump my xr everyday and it still bottoms out. I was wondering if the kdx220 has more bottom end grunt, does the "hit" on the powerband not as much as the kdx200 or is it the same?
