need help thinking about getting this cr 80

its a 1996 cr 80 expert big wheel. topend just been rebuilt new chain and new sprockets. it runs but its not ready to ride yet it needs some carb work.... he said it just needs to be cleaned and maybe a carb kit... does this sound liek a good idea... for $600? And how would i know its just the carb that needs work.. he said it starts and runs but needs the carb work before really riden.

i would ask how it rides a big question is does it foul plugs cause 2 stroke run but very funny when they have crankcase seals or any seals that are bad and those arent something you wanna have to fix im paying 500 to get my kx125 seals done

Offer him $400-$450 or the option of getting the bike running properly.
