need help to find the year of my rm 125

can some one please tell me what year my rm125 is so i can start modding i cant seem to work it out the vin number is JS1RF15A000501541 any help would be greatley apreciated

That does not appear to be a valid VIN.

i checked it on one of those vin verify site an it says evryting about the bike except the year and just says 0000 it is aparntly a 00 or an 01 but the guy i brought it off wasnt shure

The year and the check digit are invalid in that VIN. The 2000 and 2001 look nothing alike so post a photo if you need help between those two years. If it was a 2000 the 10th digit should be a Y if it was an 01 the 10th digit should be a 1.

I'd be concerned about the VIN and the origin of the bike at this point.

here it is i looked on carjam an it said everything about the bike except were the date was it said 0000

Couldn't tell you, looks like a mishmash of years to me. It is most definately not a 2001. It does not have the same plastic as a 2000, the plastic makes me think it's a 97 but they didn't have USD forks. My best guess is it's a 97 with a different set of forks on it.

yea the plactic was aparentley all new in may i dont know what was on it before that

would it more likley be a 2000 with 97 plastics or a 97 with newer frks i also need to get a manual but am not shure what mi bike is so dont know what to get cheers

Double check your vin number and re-post it? It's really hard to tell because they didn't change the frames much. If the plastics and/or forks have been changed, it's a tough call.

what site do you use to check the vin against, and what can it tel you? I wouldnt mind checking mind checking my vin....

Yep I double checked and that's what the number is is there any other way I can find out the year like with the motor serial number or sumthing cheers

I used google to find this site motoverse.c****/tools/vinDecoder.*******asp
It found correct info on my vin, it only said suzuki for yours.

Thanks I think I figured it out cuz the the bike has sum little thngs that tha 2000 models have like the csi was under the seat instead of up by the stearing head jst little things like that cheers for all your help
