when you go into a berm, what do you do to slide it while maintaing a good speed and coming off with good acceleration?

You might want to edit that "burn" to "berm" if you want any serious replys. Good luck.

well, from what I've been taught, you want to avoid that slide somewhat (though it seems inevitable at times). Start by approaching the turn already on the outside of the track before you ever get to the berm (ie if it's a left hand turn then get on the right side of the track, all the way over at the edge). Lean the bike ahead of the berm while still standing. Sit only after finished braking and roll the gas on as you sit. Ideally, if you've leaned far enough, there won't be a lot of sliding, but you can turn the bike with the throttle. The problem I see with the sliding is that it can be unpredicatable and you wind up spinning the back end around past the turn. Hope that helps.
