needin a 2 stroke

Whats up everyone, My first post here, Hope to learn alot like the other forums i belong too. Anyways. I currently ride a 2004 xr 400. before that it was an 86 cr 500. Im looking at getting another 2 stroke and would like to hear some opinions. I do mostly trail/fireroad riding, would like to find something around year 2000. Like the Cr's but hard to find used ones here.

KTM 300 2-stroke. Real sweet bush bikes. Should be able to find a 2000 era for a decent price. How did you manage to go from a CR500 to an XR400? That's quite an adjustment from CR power to XR cruise control.

Keith the cr i sold to a buddy that turned it into a hill climb bike. When i was ready to buy a new bike i did not do any research and just went down and bought the xr. Great bike for some of the narly trails here, but no excitement forsure
