Ktm is going to sell a lot of 144 SX in Europe and in the USA!! The price should be interesting, fore sure less expansive than the 250 SXF, for similar performance! What is the reason to buy a 4 strokes when a 2 strokes delevers the same power ? KTM's SX 144 is a little bomb waiting you to win races!!

I hope Yamaha is going to make a YZ 144 next year! does anyone knows if yamaha is interested in making a 144 ??? I would buy this bike...

I thought you were only allowed to race 144 if it was an aftermarket conversion, in AMA sanctioned race. I could be waay wrong, as I once had a beer. Or many.

2strokerfun, you are right. You can not race the 144 factory made bike in any AMA events unless you go into the next size class.

Rim-K, as for the KTM 144SX its old news. Also, the 2008 the YZ125 is not getting too much changed and its not going to be a 144.

I know the YZ 125 doesn't change in 2008, just some details like the brakes but I'm wondering if they are going to make a 144 for 2009. In many country you can race a 144 factory and maybe the rule will change for the USA... It's a stupid decision which doesn't mean anything...
About the 144 SX, 2008 is the first year of a mass production, the 2007 model seemed to be like a "pre production", impossible to find in Europe...

If the 144 SX is well sold, japanese manufacturers could make a 144 cc... TM has made one too.
