Hey guys, so this is my first attempt at changing the chain and sprockets on my bike..and I can't get the old chain off! :bang: I removed the master link clip but the chain won't come apart! I've tried everything from pliers to a hammer but yet nothing. Am I doing something wrong or is there some sort of trick to this?? Any input would be greatly appreciated

Many quality chains use a "press-fit" plate on the master link.
A chain breaker will take it apart with ease.
Keep in mind that a chain breaker like Motion Pro will hose the master link when you take it off, as it pushes the pins completely out. A conventional type chain breaker will take the outside plate only, and allow the master to be reused.
This chain may not be reuseable, but for future maintenance of a good chain with a press fit master link, you want to use a conventional style breaker.
Any NAPA or farm supply carries them.

just take the back wheel off if its that hard, and the swingarm, and just pull it off. a little time, but saves money on a chain breaker.
