Many quality chains use a "press-fit" plate on the master link.
A chain breaker will take it apart with ease.
Keep in mind that a chain breaker like Motion Pro will hose the master link when you take it off, as it pushes the pins completely out. A conventional type chain breaker will take the outside plate only, and allow the master to be reused.
This chain may not be reuseable, but for future maintenance of a good chain with a press fit master link, you want to use a conventional style breaker.
Any NAPA or farm supply carries them.
