I just put on a new clutch lever and perch b/c my old one broke in many places and i was missing the adjuster for the perch. Now with this new perch and lever it's really really hard to pull in the clutch to change gears even after adjusting the cable in all different settings. Anybody got an idea of whats wrong?

You probibly bought a aftermarket piece of junk
You need to buy another stock one or a higher end
one so the pull is correct

I just tried the stock perch and lever on the bike and it's doin the exact same thing. I'm thinking something else isn't right b/c it is so hard to pull in the clutch.

Did you change the cable routing at all? How do you lube the cable, and with what?

IMHO, Cable routing is as important as a good lube job.

I figured it out and it works even better than before with the new perch and lever with a bearing. From the cable being loose it fell out of the bracket thing that pulls in the clutch. It turns out I wasn't even pulling in the clutch but just stretching the cable.
