I just replaced the crank and crank bearings on my '99 CR250 and I wanted to ask this question before I finish putting the motor together again. The old crank/connectiing rod rotated very freely, however the new crank/connecting rod doesn't. The new crank does rotate but there is some effort needed to get it started. Is this due that fact that the new crank needs to be broken in?

thanks

Take a small rubber mallet and lightly tap each side of the crank to center it in the cases. It may have a little resisitance, but should rotate freely. Also, make sure to put oil on all of the bearings.
