New Rear Rotor

Replacing the rear rotor on the RM...

Before I go ruining the allen-head bolts, do I really need to cut a slot in the head of each bolt and a hammer/chissel to back them out?

I tried some heat and an allen wrench, but they're not breaking loose.

I always replace the bolts anyway so gringing a slot isn't a problem.

Did you uese enough heat? Just becareful if you are using a torch because the aluminium hub will melt if it gets too hot.

impact driver with correct allen attachment. Even the kind you strike with a hammer seems to work very well.

Never found a 100% success rate but I use an electric heat gun and not impact of any kind on the loosening but do hit the bolt heads 10 to 20 times with a smalllllll hammer ( tap is probably a better word than hit) and a punch that fits inside the allen head before heating and usualy get to use the bolts again

Glad to be of some help. Tap is what you wish you had done when you miss-hit the four inch nail and hit your thumb instead
