hey everyone i just turned 15 and my parents gave me 1500 to get a dirt bike.. Im wondering what kind of dirt bike i should get and why that bikes any good.. Im intrested in using it manly for trails but eventually i want to get racing and doing some jumps. Thanks

1500 hun you are looking for a used bike i like honda and yamaha the old honda xr's hold up pretty good if u want to race you might find an older cr125 for 1500 to 1800

Welcome to DRN!

1. Go to the what bike should I get subforum
2.Tell them about yourself ..weight, height, riding ability, type of riding ect...
3. Ask what to look out for if you don't know.
4. Decide if you (or your father too?) have any brand preferences.
5. Look around and buy your bike.
6. Buy at least a helmet, goggles, gloves and some type of boots before your first ride. Add knee and shin guards as soon as possible and always wear as much protective gear as you can afford.
