New seat and foam questions

I just bought a '02 YZ250 and will be adding tall seat foam and I have a few questions about seats:

1) I would like to just save the stock seat and buy a new seat base for the new foam and cover. Has anyone done this? And where can I get the base?

2) I will be getting either an IMS or Clarke enduro tank. Do these tanks work with the stock seat? (seems that they would have to)

my suggestion would be check to see if sdg makes a seat that hs taller seat foam than the standard seats they sell. theya re only 70 bucks and will save you a ton of time and money. :silly:

Thanks for the suggestion... It appears that SDG makes a taller seat as of last month. I'll check on this. Whereas most riders want a softer seat, I instead prefer the hard foam. It keeps me taller in the seat and I like the responsiveness of it.
