I bought a 49 tooth sprockett off **** for 40 bux for my 93 rmx. Now i read that the stock is 50 tooth. can i use the same chain or will i have to buy diff. length b/c of the shortened tooth? any help would be great :bang:

As long as there is still some adjuster left now, you will be fine.
If your adjuster is run all the way to the back with the current set-up, you may have to take one link out when you mount the 49t.

Did you purchase a sprocket because your other one is worn?
If so, your chain is more than likely trashed. Measure it to be certain.

If you wanted a little more acceleration then you needed to add a tooth to the rear. If you were having problems with wheel spin and wanted to lessen that problem (get more bite) then removing a tooth would be the way to go.

I wasn't really sure what you meant by "get more bite."
