Im new to the crossers and recently just swapped my dtr 125 for a 1998 kx 250 i wuld b gr8full if any 1 could giv me some tips on maintenence. I want to b able to fully strip the bike down but im too scared incase i cant put it back or i put it back and it donesnt start :bang: . If any 1 culd giv me maintences tips as to how to check the bikes engine is running sweet i wuld b gr8full. I use the bike for green laning with my friends so its not beeing pinned back at a track all day. :yikes: any pics or info wuld b good! :cool:

I would highly recommend checking with a Kawasaki dealer and getting a manual for it. They should still be abale to provide one (or check on the internet). It will help you greatly.

Yea - Buy a manual. On a car I can change oil, clean an air filter and change spark plugs, but that's about it. With my Suzuki shop manual I've removed the engine, rebuilt the top end, replaced the countershaft seal, replaced rear wheel bearings, etc . . .

Oh yeah - I had a lot of help from the guys here, from dad and from searches on other websites. Don't be afraid to ask for help - here or from a friend.

Tip: Before you ask for help here, try a search of the forums first. Just about every question imaginable has already been asked (although the search engine isn't perfect sometimes) . . .
