I am thinking about the Nissan Titan right now. In a couple of years I want to get a small Toyhauler trailer like the 22' Warrior or the Travellite. I want to stay in the 20 foot range and I think 25' is too big for where I will be parking it anyways. Do you think the Titan will be able to pull this. I know the rating is 9500 lbs but my friend with a F-250 Turbo diesel thinks I will be pulled all over the road if I get the titan. It is just such a nice truck and I dont like Dodge. The only other option seems to be a F-250 for me which seems like overkill for the day to day driving.

I think the Titan would do well towing a 22'.. One thing too keep in mind though, fuel mileage, i hear the Titan only gets approximately 13mpg, where as a F-250 PowerStroke can get almost 20mpg during daily driving.. My freinds 2001 f250 7.3litre is getting 21.5, and its a 4x4 w/33's on it.. Granted he has done some modifications.. The Titan is a very nice truck, but for towing it would be hard too beat a turbo diesel.. You may also want too check out NissanFrontier.net, there is a section for the Titan.. BTW, i drive a 2003 Frontier and am pleased w/it..
Hope this helps you out,
Rick

PS.. The new F-250 PowerStokes have a 6.0liter FWIW

I like those also and I am looking to get a 18-20 toybox, I understand a Superlite WW is under 4000 lb, so loaded with H2o and bikes it's still under 6000 Lbs, so it should be fine.

double check the rating, 9500 for a extra cab 2w drive, might be less for a 4dr 4w drive

I really like the titan but the price for a new one 39000 for how I wanted it and the gas milage people are getting like 14 and 15 turned me around. I opted for a 2001 F-250 Superduty Diesel CrewCab and I am not turning back. I got it on E-bay and I flew into Phoenix and drove it home to Tacoma last weekend.. 31 hours... Going 70-85 MPH I was getting about 16.5-17 MPG... Not too shabby.. When I let up to a steady 70 for a while I was getting about 17.4 ..... I dont have to worry about hauling anything now either!
