Anyone know of places that are not far away from northern nj??

Man, good luck with that. I moved from North Jersey to Central-ish Jersey, and you're lucky to find any place to ride that isn't developed on or being developed on. We are the densest state after all, and north Jersey is most dense due to its proximity to nyc.

But anyway, if you are willing to take the drive down to Englishtown, Raceway Park is great. Other than that, I only know of a bunch of local places around Central Jersey.

yep, raceway park. an awesome place to ride, but it can be really crowded at times.

where are you located in northern NJ? i do know a spot that is pretty close to Northern NJ.

i have about 3 different spots to ride at where i am,im more of central jersey but its probably worth the drive
