Well.. I live near Seattle and I just picked up an 84 Yamaha TT600. The carbs didn't operate very well and I had read to replace them with XT550 carbs. So... I picked up a set of 82 XT550 carbs which bolts right up but they seem to be pumping too much fuel and not enough air. There is no ( pilot? ) or air mixture screw to adjust. It runs well but it doesn't idle well and seems a bit rough right as I begin to give it gas. Beyond that it takes off like a bat out of hell.
I would really like it to run well since my wife and friends ride it when we go out... they won't ride my YZ490, go figure.....
Any advise?
