I installed IE 6 and outlook 6 and they both suck. I hate the way the new version 6 works, it is slow and then after it loads it does some page compression or something that I end up getting ahead of and clicking on the wrong links. Outlook 6 half the time can't find my network the 1st time but after it times out and I recheck it's there. I'm reinstalling the older versions of both.

This is why I don't like it when I'm told that my computer is being upgraded.

hmmm

I've been runnin 6 since it was in beta and have had zero problems. It is noticeably faster than 5 or 5.5 . And posted above it says there are security problems. Well, there are a whole lot less security issues with 6 than with either one of the 5's...

I'm a total computer spode here, but let me add this: I upgraded to IE6 so I could view documents at the US Patent and Trademark sight, but it WIPED OUT my Outlook settings, deleted my "Contacts". If I hadn't saved my personal address book as a .pdf a while back for transfer to my home PC, I would have lost that, too. Now, on DRN only (as far as I can tell), some of the radio buttons change color unless I drag my cursor over the top of them. No biggie, but it is weird. Doesn't happen every time, but it happens often. My aim with going to IE6 was to rid myself of the script debugging windows that continually popped up with 5.5, Yes, I checked all the right boxes but still got them. It's a trade-off. Discolored buttons in exchange for no script error pop-ups. And on my work PC at least, IE6 does seem to run marginally slower than 5.5 did. Course, I'm running a freaking Commodore 64 here.:silly:

ie 6 has NEVER had any major bugs, microsoft hasn't patched it yet. as for security ie 6 has nothing wrong, in fact the namba worm doesn't even affect ie6 but doe's affect 5.5 ie. maybe it's time to trade in that commondor 64? ;) ;)

Well crap

I'm back up to 6 again. Had some registry problem that I didn't want to take the time to fix. I'll just live with it and work the bugs out of this version but only after I get done ridin';)
