I took my cousing to show him what its like riding a track and I was getting his bike started and noticed it won't idle. It is a 97 Yamaha RT 100. I cleaned out the air filter and sprayed some carb cleaner in the carb. That helped a little because it will idle somewhat with the choke on. I tried messing with the airscrew but that didn't help much. Any ideas of what could be wrong?

Also--is the RT100 a four stroke or is it oil injected? I assumed it was a 4 sroke but I noticed a oil holding tank under the seat and couldn't tell what was in it (engine oil or premix oil).

thanks

The RT 100 is a 2 stroke with oil injection. Do not put premix in the gas tank and make sure the oil tank is full of 2 stroke oil.
