Numbers for Hare Scrambles?

I am going to race district 14 harescrambles in the c class and was wondering if I need certain color numbers and backgrounds as well as anything else I might need?

I am pretty sure they assign a number to you the day of the race and slap a sticker on the side of your helmet ,,,,,or maybe even a bar code.

best to call ahead and ask the club/promoter.
