If the sprocket is floppy on the shaft, a new seal won't help.

The thx of the sprocket is critical to compress the o-ring, seated within the bevel on the spacer, which should be facing inward. Check that before changing seals.

oil leak around srpocket

so when you remove the old oring and replace it with a new one the sprocket should have little or no play, but wouldnt that cause the spacer to cut into the fresh oring while it turns???Just want to make sure i do this right! I have a 06 Suzuki RM250Z is it the seal i need to replace or is it the oring, does it have both??? Thanks
