An old, old grey beard thanks you...

I'm guessing Jr and I were there, because we lived in Fremont at that time, and we didn't miss many D14 enduros...

Gladwin Cycle Sales vest, Peacock Ltd jersey and Huskys with the mirror panel on the tanks.....those were the days. The Harrison event was run out of a campground just south of Leota.

My bike was from Fremont, a 1980 XR500 I bought at Fremont Honda.

Or maybe a V-75? I know some of the pictures are from fall of 1974, they are dated Oct. 1974 on the back. I now think the undated ones (includes both Montesa  pictures) are from 1975 or 1976. Thanks.

Yep, I was most likely at that Enduro in Leota at the bar. I see one of the Keens in the picture, kinda tall probably Kenny or Mike. Thanks for the memories.

The 1980 Harrison enduro would be the Lame Duck on August 3. I accumulated 113 points that day and came in 12th of 15 in the class. My spark arrester was plugged and I couldn't run good on the road sections. Part of my pit crew was the 7 month old grandson, and his name isn't Tom.

I have the t-shirt from when my dad rode the Lame Duck. He claims he used be pretty quick and ride a lot. He even rode baja in 88 a month before I was born. Now I'm lucky to get him to dual sport with me, but if it weren't for him I guess I wouldn't love the sport like i do.
