I can buy a 85 -250mx that is in real good condition.Any body have one?Would this make a good trail bike?Any known problems? Can I still get parts?I am looking at this Ktm and a KDX 220,But I like the KTM quality.Let me know what you all think, thanks.
While I'm one to loathe anything and everything about a KDX, I would buy one of them before I'd cought up any jingle on an almost 25 year old KTM. Parts will be pretty scarce on any 25 year old machine, not to mention one that wasn't all that popular back in the day.
Yes go to the green side! Not just because you will get something easier to get parts for than a prehistoric KTM but you may also learn how to get panhandlers to give you money (or at least parts).
I'd opt for the KDX in this case for the very reasons that XRpredator mentioned. I have a friend that had a mid 90's KDX200 and it was a fun little bike. Very smooth powerband. If it's your first big bike, I'm sure you'll love it!
