Easy to very mild knowing Dave! :p

OUCH!!!! :rotfl:

Yeah, the last time treejumper was out there I was doing just easy stuff.. then again, we havent' seen him for a loooooooong while.... workin' three jobs. :blah: ....the rental house... :blah: blah blah blah.... :fft:

Seriously though, we can do any level you are comfortable with. If you just want to putt around and tour the place, we can do that, if you want to try some mildy challanging stuff, we can go there too. No worries, really.
The bottom line for me is just getting out there and enjoying a full day of riding. Simple as that.

Just don't let Dave follow you up any hills. In that situation I've seen him try to give a Pro Taper suppository to a guy riding a Yamaha before! Right Nate?

hahahaha... yeah.. sometimes accidents DO happen! lol :rotfl:

Bah Humbug..... Paragon has plenty of easy areas as well. Don't let the rumors disuade you, seriously.

Hey now! :debil: I was just trying to help out.

I haven't ridden Paragon but did ride Tower City. The locals I road with said Paragon was the same if not worse with respect to rocks. It was a fun ride, but I didn't feel comfortable riding at my usual pace for fear of the penalty of failure.

If I gave the wrong impression of Paragon, I apologize. Maybe I should give it a try!

Absolutely!! Come on up Saturday, or for the DYDR run we are doing on November 12th and 13th. You will have a blast I swear. There truly is something for everyone at PAP. :)

As the victim of Dave’s aborted hill climb I can still say that he is still a great guy to go riding with, he knows the trails well enough to be able to take you to any type of trail that you might want to do. If Jason shows up, then all bets are off.

Just my two cents... I've been riding at both places and have come to the conclusion PA as a whole is just one big rock... I do however prefer Paragon over Tower city just because most of that place is black coal and major coal dust. Not real friendly to the seals on our bikes or the lungs of riders but again just my two cents. I did have a goodtime riding there just wouldn't go back.

I am very interested in meeting up with you. I am always looking for something new and exciting.

I usually come up Friday night and meet up in the parking lot at Paragon between 9-10am shooting for a 10-10:30 start time. I may come up in the morning Saturday instead this time, but still plan on heading for the trails by around 10-10:30 If you get to the park between 9:9:30 or so you should have plenty of time to suit up and get the bike warmed up etc.

Being this is your first time, I would strongly suggest you bring a means to carry water with you (camelback, or small backpack or fanny pack that you can carry a couple bottles of water in.) It does get dry and thirsty out there! We usually keep a cooler back at the vehicles with stuff for lunch too, so pack a sandwich and stuff for lunch as well, or buy something on the way out. There is a Unimart that makes good sandwiches between 81 and the park, and they have plenty of provisions as well.

We generallly go out for a couple hours in the morning for a real easy ride, then come back for lunch, and go back out after lunch for a few more hours before coming back packing up and heading out.

We'll often get around 40-50 miles under our belt on Saturday's so, if you aren't used to going that far in a day, you may want to make it a one day excursion as day two can be a sore one. ;)

We typically meet at the very bottom of the parking lot near the trailers (Farthest corner from the entrance) I don't know what vehicles we will have but I have a KDX with no stickers or anything on it, and a red helmet with flames on it.

I may have either a blue full sized GMC pickup truck, or an older Green Dodge Dakota with a silver cap on it pulling a blue rusty rail trailer.

My cell phone is (908)625-4540 but they don't work great at Paragon for all the mountains.

Look forward to seeing you!

Dave

Jerry, You can trust Dave to only ride the very easy stuff...not that he can't ride the rocks...I've seen him do it (OK, try to do it;)). He knows how it feels and won't suject anyone to that.

...now, there are some who aren't as nice :p

I have not been up on the tracks since the incident with the kid closed em down. Mainly because I don't have a place to park the trailer safely, and secondly, Just don't want any trouble. I would much rather spend the day at PAP to be honest anymore. As much as I loved the tracks, they just aren't worth the risk to me. I dunno...

CR 250 sounds like a much better route to go for you bro! Get back on 2 wheels already! LOL I love your 400ex but i really like 2 wheels best of all!

yeah thats what i have been feeling too. i got a qoute from the cycle exchange in netcong that they would give me 2 grand for my quad and im waiting to hear back from motorcycle madness on there offer they said around 1800 but im gonna take a big hit at those prices and there not going for much more than that on **** but then i gotta find a bike in that price range thats in pretty decent shape and is some what reliable.. my son wants a fifty and to start racing so that is one of my main reasons for wanting to get back on a bike but the end of the season is coming up and i might be able to pick one up a little cheaper if i wait. but i dont want tooo :| i wanna ride now so i may just go and take the 2gs and run and see what i can find.

hey dave whats your email it wont let me pm you.

No problem Butch....

You can PM me at DaveRS575 on either Yahoo or AOL Instant messengers if you have either.

My email is Dave_Sperling@ml.com

You may want to look at the Bike shop in Newton (Whoop De Doo Cycle) for a trade in. They have a bunch of cool used bikes there (Including some smaller bikes for the kiddo) and could hook you up nicely I'm sure! + They are 1/2 block from my new house, so you could come visit!

The Rocks

They have intelligence. They know who likes them and who doesn't.

They have nightly meetings and orchestrate intricate arrangements to be as difficult as possible.

They MOVE

They move right in front of you, as you watch in horror.

Sometimes you can see entire rock gardens move out in front of you.

It's frightening, on occasion.

I've learned to battle them though. I smash them with anything I find available .... my head, my arm, my leg, my handlebar, my swingarm, even my silencer.

They always come back to get me though.

I can hear them moving around under the ground right now, because I have to dig footings for a deck tomorrow. They will all be right where I marked the post holes.

And when they are done with that battle, they will be back out on the trail, waiting for me.

They are very, very deviant, those rocks.

I do like them though, they are much more challenging than those flat quad trails back in the midwest :p
