I think there might be one angle we are over looking here. Travis is still a minor is he not? And as such do his mom and dad not have a say in his activities from a legal standpoint. If I were his mom during the last two months I would have some great concerns about Travis's health. I can't help thinking that if Rick Johnson had let his wrists heal instead of riding on them injured he would have been in the sport longer. I think this is the smartest possible move to preserve both the health and career of Travis. I don't think Roger DeCoster wants to be remembered as the man who pushed a young man too far and ended his career in tragedy. Maybe this is 20/20 foresight. :think
