Lots of options; I have not ridden at most of them. Check out yesterday's thread about a new southeastern off-road series; it lists several of the options. Durhamtown is suppose to be unbelievable; Speed Channel's Two Wheel Tuesday did a segment on it. They had a hare scrambles at Aiona (sp?) Pass this last weekend (in the rain) & some of my friends were talking about riding it; I haven't heard back. I have ridden at this place
www.talkingrockarena.com; MX track, 2 different kids/beginner tracks, plus some trails that were too difficult in wet conditions for my then 10 y.o. daughter to ride much of them. You might check out
www.gartra.com (Ga. rec.trail riders assoc.) for more info.
I have a couple of good friends with wooded property that I ride on, but they are somewhat selective about who they invite to ride, for reasons I hope you can understand. Check out
www.sundaysocialclub.org to learn about one of these groups.
Good luck & keep in touch; when and how long will you be in Atl.? Take care, Ken :ride:
