I used those plans to build the stand, just follow the instructions, I made mine a teeny bit higher but it wasn't really neccesary. I use mine on a '99 KX 250 and it works great. The plans are pretty simple, the drawings are well made, congratulations to whoever made them. The only thing missing is a pic of the finished product, I'll post a small one of mine here later.

As you can see this stand doesn't quite adhere to the plan, I couldn't find an exact match down here so I just grabbed something similar. This is actually the second stand I've made, I used WAY too thin tubing on the first one, it bent easily. As you can see in the picture, it's still unpainted, I plan to powdercoat it in silver after grindind down the weld beads a bit, still practising on those welds!

Where do you guys get your steel stock?
The Iron supplier around here wants a fortune for square pipe.

I wanted to make a removable tie down, wheel chock bar to protect the back of the truck bed.

My stand is nearly complete, just a few holes to drill and welds and she'll be done. I didn't really need a new stand for a basket case bike that'll probably never run again, but i had the material so i decided to build it, besides welding is my new stress reliever.

Whyzee, I also built my bike boot, however I wasn't able to find any plans on the net so I printed out some pics from different sources and measured a lot and it came out OK.

It's bolted to my homebuilt trailer.

The stand is 16" 1/4 when up, 13" when down.
