All basic plastic referbishing kits or pieces run about the same. You can get an Acerbis kit for $124.95 which includes front and back fenders, side panels and radiator shrouds, or UFO for around $129 it also includes all the above. I have UFO and it's ruged stuff, mine only has a few minor scratches after a few crashes. Both kits come in factory colors or all black. Check out www.afterburner.com and check them out for your self.

Newer shrouds for the radiators go all the way to the cap fully covering the tank, thats how mine are on my 01 but I don't have any idea about a 97. Before this bike my last one was an 85 kx125 that I rode in the 80's so I'm in the dark on a lot of the in betweens mainly because after I burned the crank bearing in the 125 I quit and didn't keep up with it any more untill now.

I think he said CHEAP.... Those plastics are pretty pricey at 42.00 for just a rear fender! :whoa:

$42.00 sounds pretty high. I just bought a front and back for my 97 CR250. The back was around $25, with front being around $20.00. Google Acerbis for several online providers, but I found going to the local bike shop was cheaper because you don't have to pay for shipping.
