Play in linkage to rear shock (250EXC)

On my -97 250EXC there is more than an inch play if I move the tire up and down before the shock starts moving. I guess this might be a problem with the bearings in the linkage, what KTM calls the Pro Lever System. Have any of you guys any experiences of this and how to fix it (disassemble/assemble) in the most clever way???

You have worn bearings in your suspension linkage. If those bearings haven't been serviced since new, you will probably have to replace all the bearings [typically roller type], and possibly the roller shafts [name?] also.
Dismantle each joint of the rear linkage and remove and replace as necessary.
