5'10" 180lbs, 97 KTM200EXC-LE, starts first or second kick......Its a good thing I don't have to use the kickstand, since it can barely suppoort the weight of the bike alone.

02 Cannondale E440  Starts easily with just a little thumb presure unless the battery dies, then I have to find a hill to bump start it.

It looks too tall.....till i sit on it.
This thing kicks over as easy as my old XL125.......almost.

The other bike ('82 XL500R) is a much better fit, but a bit harder to persuade into running.

The last one ('79 YZ400) was a cinch to start, but unfortunatly is now officially d.o.a.. :( :whiner: :|

"7's the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 doors. 7, man, that's the number. 7 chipmunks twirlin' on a branch, eatin' lots of sunflowers on my uncle's ranch. You know that old children's tale from the sea. It's like you're dreamin' about Gorgonzola cheese when it's clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office 'Cause you're ****in' fired!"

But what if someone comes out with 6 minute abs?
Man what a movie :-)

5'3" (barely) 108lbs. I ride a 2001 CR125. I can touch with my toes. I can start it and pick it all up no problem. I refuse to ride anything smaller, so I learned to adapt. I don't use blocks or anything at the gate.
I've been riding that for two years now. I think it took like 3 or 4 rides to really get the hang of sliding from one side of the seat to the other to touch flatfooted.

I have trouble starting mine since it is in pieces all over the garage.

Gomer. That's great! Sounds like the diet is working. :thumb: I think your fudging on your heighth though. Your not near that tall.

5'8" and a little bit @ a buck fifty. No trouble starting my CRF450. I just lie on the ground and whine until someone feels sorry for me and picks it up and starts it for me.

Works every time.

I had softer springs put in it, that helped a little. Other than that nothing else has been done to lower it. My mom is the same height as me, weighs about as much as you do. She can't touch all that well though. I have longer legs than she does though. So that is probably why I don't really have any problems.

Both are easy to start, but the ktm really wears out my thumb on my glove

Greenhorn, you need every bit of that 360 torque to haul your frame around. :) I'd say your about even with a 160 lb. rider on a 250!

6'4 150 pounds(I guess i'm not the heaviest guy here...) 1996 yz250. No problem starting it. Though my leg gets pretty tired when I drown it. I can touch both feet on the ground and not touch the seat.

5'7", 135, KTM 200 EXC

I can touch tip toe and the only time I have a problem picking it up is when any reasonable person (male or female) would--as in it is 4 feet down the rocky loose slope teetering on a log before it crashes 80 feet down to the next switchback. Any other time I can pick it up and start it no problem. I put a softer spring on the rear but have not lowered the suspension at all--I like the height, it's less tiring to ride. The first few rides were pretty entertaining though.

The 360 is still more than what I need. I feel like a spider monkey on JP's fiddy if you want the honest truth.

6'5, 308lbs, ride is a 2002 TM 400MX. No prob getting on/off and starting. I can flat foot on both sides and the tall seat foam was a necessity.

5'5", 135 lbs, '03 250F, stock suspension, envious of all riders 5'8" and above.

After riding big bikes for 5 years, I'm finally used to the height (as far as MX racing goes). I use a block, rock, or pile of dirt under my right foot at the starting gate. And I occasionally fall over when I return to the truck. ;)
