Hi guys I just wanted to double check my ratios. With running premix I always used the ratio of 40-1 which worked out to 125mls to every 5ltrs of fuel I think thats right?
Is this still a ok mixture to run on my KDX?
Also someone else mentioned that because it has had a very recent topend rebuild to run it at 32-1 so a little bit richer.

In a trail ridden KDX, You will be fine at 40:1 with any decent oil. Yes, 125 ml per 5 liter is 40:1.

32:1 does provide a little more lubrication. For us in the USA, that's 4 ounces per gallon (128 ounces).

No downside to running more oil, except for the cost of the oil.

I'm sure someone will point out that 40:1 is actually richer than 32:1 (more fuel will go in at 40:1 than 32:1), but in reality it will not make any noticeable difference in your jetting.

Yeah it should be fine with either, as long as it is jetted to suit. I've always used yamalube at 32:1 and haven't had any problems.

If you not racing you can run 50:1 safely. Dont waste oil. Yes hundreds will say oil cheaper than doing a motor... Thats why trials bikes run 100:1 and many NEW KTM's manuals suggest 50:1... As for doing a motor, many here will vouch for their KDX's having stock motor/piston after 5,10 years plus.... Im no scientist but a mechanic and on my 34th bike....
