Craig said he'd most likely go, unless it's the storm of the century, as long as I didn't mind him getting some skiing in at Squaw or something. Then I finally caught up on the other thread and realized there are other people going skiing at some point too--- this will work out.

Good news alta girl! But I had already added you to the list anyway. ;)
I keep a spreadsheet each year of the attendees and other info like what dates they'll be there, what guests they may be bringing, where they are staying, what bike they ride etc. and then e-mail it out to everyone going so they know who will be there and such, so keep an eye out for that very soon.
We're up to 16 female riders now. bbbom, dirtygirly still pending but we hope they'll make it! I'm working on 3 of my non DRN female friends in Socal too.
I am expecting as the time gets closer that number should reach around 25, I hope!! :)

OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH how I would love to join you all in Reno, however I think it would take an act of god to get Mike to travel out of state for another "womens" riding thing again! After his nasty spill in Oregon at the Ride School, he's pretty much hung up his hat for riding. Maybe I can convince my best friend and hubby to go, and Mike can go for moral support and ride around on our daughters XR70?? What do you think Natalie . . .

I think that you and Mike should plan to go.....Mike will want to do some riding once he gets there because Moonrocks is so much fun! And even if he does not ride, there is other stuff in Reno while you ride (like gambling and shopping for the ultimate Valentine's day present for YOU! ). How is Mike's leg by the way? Completely healed I hope? Its been about 4 months now right? Please tell him I said hello!

Unfortunately the leg is nowhere near "completely" healed. He comes home daily with another complaint about something. I personally think he went back to work too soon, but he was losing his mind sitting at home for 10 weeks! I mentioned the ride to him last night, and he didn't really say NO, so I think if I can get my friends to go, he'll come along just for the heck of it. After what happened to him, there is no way in he!! he would let me go without him though! You know, just in case something should happen to me :) I'll keep you posted!

Reno is just gonna be fun! Whether or not he rides, he can bench race during the day and socialize at dinner. You two are going to meet a lot more people that you didn't know before and Oregon kinda sucked for him so he probably wants to make up for being deprived of all the fun he missed out on at the Wild River Brewery in Babe Junction during his drug induced state. Heck, he probably doesn't even remember half of us!

Cross your fingers while I work on him. It IS Valentines Day, and maybe I could play the chick card?? We also have a few friends in the Reno/Sparks area that he could pal around with during the day if he chose to!

You should most definitely go!! Mike will have fun even if he doesn't ride! Heck he can help the crazy Canadians with the margaritas! :) Since there will be people camping at the staging area this year like they did last year there will be plenty of people for him to hang out with around the fire and shoot the breeze. He'll have excellent front row seats for the drag races up the hill too! This won't be at all like the event in Oregon and it's not really a "ladies only" thing since there are waaaay more men than women.
Have you checked out the Reno Ride sub-forum? There will be lots to do besides riding. The after riding, night time activities are a blast. I'd say work the V-Day card too. ;)

You definitely NEED to come to Moonrocks, it is so much fun. I hearby challenge you to a hill climb!!! Will not allow Randy to bet on me tho, we already owe Pierre and Jennifer dinner and drinks after Furnace Creek. <oops>
We've managed to caravan before, have 2 way radios which helps a lot, however we aren't the most reliable on time schedules, might drive you crazy. ie had planned to leave for FC at 10am and didn't get out til 6 that evening, then drove to Medford - almost midnight. Feb.'s a ways away yet in any case...it'll work out. Have you made hotel reservations?

You can add one more gal to the list of ladies. (I'm previously SarahL99 but now that I'm back riding, not racing and raising 3 babies (child, husband and business) I think Moto'n Mama is more appropriate.) So my husband and I will be joining you all and we're both really looking forward to it!
We havnt decided if we're camping - it just depends on the action going on in the pits. We've got the ulitmate pit-mobile - play station and "beverage bar" included, but we also dont want to miss out on the action that goes on in town. (If we camp, I think we'd get along great with the Canadians! - we'll be sure to bring extra limes, salt and Patron! And lots of firewood!)
